During this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, Nautica presented the Men’s Spring 2011 Collection at the Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery at the Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. Creative Director, Chris Cox, spoke to the press about the direction of the Spring 2011 Collection. Thirty looks were featured on models, stationed on platforms. Over 300 editors, stylists and influencers attended the presentation, and everyone enjoyed seeing Nautica back at NY Fashion Week.
The Nautica Men’s Spring 2011 collection is inspired by the spirit of the water, the people and the architecture of the American Southern Coast. From the active lifestyle of the Florida Keys to the casual elegance that is part of the tradition and charm of New Orleans, life on the southern coast is vibrant. From the beaches, to the gulf, to the bayous and wetlands that surround the big cities and small towns of the south, comes a soulful and colorful heritage and a deep connection to the water. The sun is always warm. Dress, like the lifestyle, is easy and authentic. The traveler and the local blend seamlessly into the landscape, finding inspiration in everyday adventures. Life on the southern coast is truly a life well-lived.
