Events: This weekend in Philadelphia...

Feeling adventurous and happen to be in the Philadelphia area this weekend? Well if so make your way down to Pier 24 right on Columbus Boulevard to experience a once in a lifetime experience sailing the Delaware on the American Sailing Tour’s 48 foot schooner. On the 90 minute “Tropical Sail” boat cruise you will experience sounds of the Caribbean and views of the amazing Philadelphia skyline. If a relaxing afternoon isn’t calling your name, try the “History Sail” which gives passengers a brief Philadelphia history lesson while aboard the ship. Both cruises set sail every day starting at 9:30 in the morning and run all day. The boat stops sailing at the end of October so make sure you get your tickets soon before it’s too cold to take a voyage!

Tickets range from $35 to $40 and are available by calling 215-900-7758 or visiting the Independence Visitors Center.  More information can be found on the American Sailing Tour’s website at www.americansailingtours.com
