Events: A Nautical Thanksgiving Weekend

Looking for a Nautical way to spend your Thanksgiving Weekend?  Welcome the holiday season in style with the popular Harbor Town tradition.  Santa arrives in Nautical style by tugboat at Mystic River Park at 2 pm where he greets the crowds and listens to children’s holiday wishes until 5pm.  The event will be full of holiday cheer where families and children can talk to Santa, sing Christmas carols, and enjoy the holiday lights.

After the Santa Sighting the night will continue with a parade of tour boats, work boats, private boaters and charter yachts in the New York Harbor.  Each vessel will be decorated with twinkling holiday lights and Décor and setting sail through the harbor where visitors and locals alike are able to see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the entire NYC skyline.

Each vessel will be decorated with twinkling lights and holiday décor, and taking to New York Harbor on this special weekend that kicks off the Holiday season in New York City. Locals and visitors in New York City for Thanksgiving Day, may be taking in the Macy’s Day Parade, beginning their Holiday shopping, seeing the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, ice skating at Rockefeller Center or participating in any number of the iconic New York City Holiday-themed events.

Admission and boat participants are free.  Visit http://www.sail-nyc.com/new-york-harbor-lighted-boat-parade.html to register your vessel to ensure a well- coordinate parade.  Visit http://www.mystic.org for directions, more activities in the area, and places to stay.
