The holidays are about spending time with friends and family, remembering what you’re thankful for and great clothes! It’s always fun to be dress the part for the season but there are many easy ways for the look to go wrong. You want to be festive and fashionable without looking like a fallen Christmas ornament. So the fashion Crew is here to help you with some Do’s and Don’ts for dressing the part this holiday season.
Do’s
Fairisle- The must have in every holiday wardrobe. The Classic design is a holiday tradition here to stay.  The traditional pattern pairs great with jeans and slacks to fit every holiday occasion. Nautica has a great sweater offered online and sold in stores. You can also see it featured in GQ!
Plaid- Wear it in a button down by itself of layer it under a sweater. Flannel will help you stay warm in the cold season.
Wool- A great fabric to help you stay warm and add texture to your outfit. Ladies try our wool plaid skirt for a rich and classic look.
Layers- The more the merrier!
Sequence- This falls under our do’s and don’ts. Sequence is great as an accessory or an added touch but not a whole outfit! Ladies add some flare to your outfit with a sequence headband or studded shoulder sweater. Going overboard in sequence can leave you looking like an ill faded disco ball.
Don’ts
Too Many Accessories- Festive touches are great but keep them to a limit of one or two. Add a simple broach or a whimsical charm bracelet.
Gaudy Accessories- Christmas tree earrings and light bulb sweaters are great for grade school teachers but not your holiday party! Keep your outfits 2d and save the ornaments for your tree.
The main thing to remember is not to over-do your holiday ensemble. Keep your outfits simple and classic. Any more questions post them here. The fashion crew is happy share any advice on dressing your holiday best!
