The Fashion Crew: Top 5 Best Ice Skating Rinks to Visit in the USA

It’s the Holiday season and while everyone is busy shopping and decorating for holiday it’s always nice to spend time with your family and friends.  One of our favorite Holiday activities is ice skating.  So we at the fashion crew decided to share with you our top 5 best places to skate in the U.S. from east coast to west coast.

The Pond at Bryant Park is definitely worth seeing.  The Bryant Park Ice Rink is located in Bryant Park, which is located between 40th and 42nd Streets and 5th and 6th Avenues. Skate around the tree lined pond with an amazing view of the city’s amazing skyline, an old fashioned carousel, a flower kiosk, and a holiday market.  It’s like a scene out of your favorite holiday movie.  Admission is free but you can buy a $20 fast pass and skate rentals are $13.

Take in one of the Chicago’s greatest views at the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink at Millennium Park.  Set your sights on a Frank Gehry- designed concert space, an interactive fountain, a garden, a restaurant, art exhibitions, and picnics all while ice skating!  The rink attracts more than 100,000 skaters annually.  Admission is free is skate rentals are $9.

The Perfect Holiday destination!  The Houston Ice Rink combines this season’s 2 most popular sports, ice skating and shopping!  Conveniently located on the bottom floor of Houston’s high end mall, the rink is indoor and open year round.  Admission is $7 for kids under 13, $8 for adults, and $3 for skate rentals. (asecenters.com)

One of the most cost effective ways to spend your holiday.  Skate a popular city landmark amidst some of the city’s tallest buildings.  Try to check out the  Schnee Festival (Schnee is the German word for snow)which  symbolizes the end of winter with free ice skating in its last night’s of the season,  heated tents for food, drink and live music as well as snow related activities.  Admission to rink is $2.50 and skate rentals are $2.50.

A Skating experience like no other!  The Pershing Square rink offers a slightly different atmosphere than most skating rinks with its palm tree lined skating area and live swing, jazz, and country music concerts while you skate.  Admission is $6 and skate rentals are $2.
