Events: Quicksilver Pro New York Surf Competition

A two week long free sports and music festival is coming to Long Beach on September 1st. It is the first ever Association of Surfing Professionals tournament in New York.  34 of the world’s top surfers will be competing for the $1 million worth of prizes. BMX, skateboard, and motocross demonstrations will also be held at a temporary skate park next to the boardwalk during the festivals run.  Musical acts include The Flaming Lips, Interpol, and Taking Back Sunday. The surfing contest will only be held on the four days with the best waves so make sure to stay updated at longbeachny.org, aspworldtour.com, or quicksilverpro.com because you definitely don’t want to miss out on this awesome end of summer party!
