Events: 63rd Primetime Emmy® Awards

Be a part of the excitement surrounding the 2011 Emmy Awards, where the best in primetime television will be honored at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Just because you can’t be there doesn’t mean you can’t join in on the fun! Why not kick off the celebration by hosting your own Emmy party? Here are a few basic ideas to get into the right “character” for the awards:

  • Have guests dress up as their favorite actor or TV personality, or go the more formal route with black tie attire
  • Buy some Hollywood themed items at your local party store to decorate
  • Serve a “formal” style menu of champagne, strawberries, and simple, yet decadent finger foods
  • Get some gold or sparkly plates and napkins to help create a setting that’s “award-worthy”

Take any one of these ideas, or all of them, and put your own twist on it. The awards will be televised on Sunday, September 18 by the FOX Network from 8 to 11 p.m.
