A fun Halloween activity for kids to coincide with making a Halloween costume is making a Trick or Treat Tote. With an adult’s help, these bags are easy to make with supplies from your local craft store. All you will need is a blank tote, some black, orange, and white felt, scissors and fabric glue. After you collect your supplies, you’ll need to find an image to use as inspiration. You can search the internet for ghosts, jack O’ lanterns, bats or any other spooky character that you can think of for your tote. Once you find your picture, you’ll cut your felt pieces to resemble the different features of your character, to make this easier, you can also pin your image to the top of the felt and cut around the outline of the shape of the image. When your spooky shape is cut out, apply fabric glue to the back of it and press it firmly down on the tote. To prevent the insides of the tote from sticking together, place a piece of cardboard on the inside. Make sure to allow plenty of time to dry before you go Trick or Treating!
