How to make Paper Snowflakes

Now that the holidays are over and your Christmas and Hanukkah decorations are coming down, you can dress up your windows with paper snowflakes to celebrate winter! They are simple to make and only require a square piece of paper, scissors and tape to affix them to the window.

  1. Fold the square diagonally into a triangle.
  2. Fold the triangle in half into a smaller triangle.
  3. Fold this triangle into thirds over its center. Once the folds are where you want them, cut off the two points straight across the bottom.
  4. Now you are finished with the folding and ready to cut! This is where you can really get creative with your snowflake and experiment with different curved and straight lines that you will cut into the sides.
  5. When you are satisfied with your cuts, unfold the snowflake and see how it turned out!

You can also make a snowflake garland to hang in your window by making multiple paper snowflakes and stringing them together!
